Last updated: October 2026

By creating an account and using KavanaStock, you agreed to this Privacy Policy during registration. If you no longer agree, you should stop using the service. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at kavanastock@gmail.com.

1. Who We Are

KavanaStock is operated by Magdalena Piotrowska of the address 80 Rippleton Road, Manchester, M22 9UW ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data under UK data protection law. You can contact us about anything in this policy at kavanastock@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: email address, password (stored securely as a hash), account creation date
  • Profile Information: shop name, avatar, shop category, bio, country, theme preferences
  • Business Data: products, materials, pricing, sales data, and other information you input into the platform
  • Usage Data: activity logs (such as actions taken within the app)
  • Subscription Data: plan type, subscription status, billing dates, and related metadata
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: see Section 9 below

3. Payments

We use Stripe to handle all payments and subscriptions.

We do not store your payment details such as card numbers. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe. We do store Stripe-related identifiers such as customer ID and subscription ID to manage your account.

4. How We Use Your Information & Our Legal Basis

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the platform, and manage your account and subscription - necessary to perform our contract with you
  • Track activity to maintain security and improve features and user experience - our legitimate interest in running and improving a secure service
  • Send essential emails such as account verification and password resets - necessary to perform our contract with you
  • Send optional product update emails, and use non-essential cookies - only where you've given consent, which you can withdraw at any time
  • Meet our legal and tax obligations - where necessary to comply with a legal obligation

A fuller breakdown of legal bases is also available in our GDPR / Data Rights page.

5. Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data.

  • Passwords are stored securely using hashing
  • Sensitive payment data is handled by Stripe

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell your personal data.

We only share data when necessary to operate the service, such as with:

  • Stripe - payment processing and subscription billing
  • Hostinger - hosting and infrastructure

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area (for example, Stripe is based in the United States). Where this happens, we rely on legally approved safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses / the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or transfers to countries covered by a UK adequacy decision, to make sure your data stays protected to UK standards.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request that we restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request a portable copy of the data you've provided to us
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kavanastock@gmail.com. We'll normally respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep certain records for longer - for example, billing and transaction records may be kept for up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations.

9. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to run KavanaStock and understand how it's used:

  • Essential cookies - used to keep you logged in and remember your session; the site won't work properly without these, so they're always on
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) - help us understand how the platform is used, so we can improve it; these are only set once you accept them via our cookie banner

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site.

10. Emails

We send essential emails such as:

  • Account verification
  • Password reset

With your consent, we may also send optional product update emails, which you can opt out of at any time.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll ask you to actively review and re-accept the updated policy before you can continue using KavanaStock - simply continuing to use the service is not treated as acceptance of a material change.
